Dusk When the Faeries Roam

I won an award for this from The Fae Gatekeeper of Dreams. You can view it on my awards page. This poem is copyrighted 1999 by me.

Whispering wind blows clouds through the sky
Deep in the dusk wehn the faeries roam
When the moon and the stars sail on high
In the dark woods it is time to gloam

Hints and glimpses of tattered silk wings
Alien faces peer through the trees
All is silent; no nightengale sings
The owl keeps secret all that it sees

Children in bed, the houses locked up;
No one to witness the sorts of things
Dancing 'midst roses and buttercups
Within magic, moonlit faerie rings.
