I Am a Star

by

Mya McMillan

This poem demonstrates the difference in my life since I rededicated my life to God in the summer of '99. If you want to know the whole story, read my testimony. This poem is copyrighted 1999 by me.

I was different;
I am special.
I was a princess lost in the dark;
I am a princess on a lighted road.
I was a flute's evasive tune;
I am the Halleluiah Chorus.
I was a bridled unicorn;
I am a star in the heavens.
I was an orphan;
I am part of a wonderful family.
I was leaf blown about on a gust of wind;
I am a leaf who has
Finally
Found her tree.
